When I began researching hotels in Austria, I happened upon a Medieval castle built in the 1300’s for a Bavarian king. I knew at that moment the search was over–what an unforgettable experience it would be to spend a week in a royal residency. Schloss Grubhof, as the castle is named, is located in the small town of Sankt Martin Bei Lofer. We arrived at Hotel Mueller for a two-night stay at the magical destination at the end of the Romantic Road. I had booked the Castle Package at the hotel and it did not disappoint. Upon arrival, we were lead into an bright and airy octagonal dining room with a majestic view of Neuschwanstein Castle. We were in awe!

This past spring we spent a glorious week at Sunset Royal Beach Resort in Cancun, Mexico. This was our fourth stay at this resort and believe us, it did not disappoint. This past summer my thirteen-year-old daughter, Brooke, and I were attending a wedding in West Palm Beach, Florida. Brooke was standing up in the wedding so all of our energy and attention was completely focused on getting her dress altered, finding the perfect shoes, buying wedding gifts, etc…the basic preparations of being part of a bridal party.
