A few weeks ago, we attended the Chicago Travel and Adventure Show at The Donald E. Stephens Convention Center. Having never been to a travel show, we really didn’t know what to expect and were pleasantly surprised by the enormous amount of diverse exhibits featuring incredible destinations we have yet to explore in the world. The sheer size and energy inside the arena was exhilarating!
We had the opportunity to meet travel celebrities such as Samantha Brown, Pauline Frommer and Rick Steves. For us, this was equivalent to meeting famous movie stars!
From hundreds of exhibits, speakers, exotic cuisine, cultural dancing and musical shows, hands on activities like a scuba diving pool and lots of contests and giveaways, this afternoon was a travel lover’s dream.
We met so many interesting, like-minded people who have made travel a full time career and others looking to plan their very first dream vacations.
If you’re looking for vacation ideas, you really should attend this yearly event. We will definitely be there next year!
The only complaint we have is that our bucket list has now doubled in size!
